8/21/09

today was a tearfull last day. The presentations went spectacularly, I was especially amazed by how calm I felt speaking in front of that audience when I am normally a shaking wreck. I was allowed after all the presentations were done to show my parents, grandmother, and aunt, where i have been working for this entire summer, which was pretty cool. I am going to miss this place so much, expecially the people I met here and who helped me when I got stuck on things and all of the other interns.

today is our second to last day =( Im going to miss everyone so much though I am so not going to miss having to wake up at 6 every morning to come the work. I mostly spent my day reviewing my presentation then all the interns did a practice session for the presentations tommorow.

Today was a boring day. I have mostly only been working on my presentation, since I had to hand it in today, and spent a bunch of time getting my speech that goes along with the presentation ready for the practice tomorrow.

Today I got to make a hologram and I mostly worked with my presentation.

I mostly worked on my presentation today so that it will be ready to hand in on wednsday

LANDSAT 5 IS OUT OF ORBIT!!! AHHHHH! after 25 years of orbiting the earth it was knocked out of orbit about two days ago by we don't know what. We are not sure if it is going to be able to ever produce images again. It had a good run though since it was only suppose to be in operation for 5 years and lasted 25.

today I helped work the ASD for a class that some of the interns are taking. They were learning about remote sensing and i helped show them how the ASD works and got it set up for them. For the rest of the day I worked on my slide show for the presentations next friday. I can't believe there is only a week left in work. =(

today i finally didnt have to work on arcview. hallelujah I just work on getting landsat images and my presentation together.

lots of work to do today. I am still working on arcview trying to create a tin using the points and polygon I created of a and in a lake.

yay! finally my class is done and i can stay here for a full day. Today i have just worked on inputing the data collected on friday by katie and nina for landsat. I have also worked a little bit on the presentation.

another half day with not much to do. i worked on my presentation and watched the live satellite feed for nina and katie.

Just another half day. Ill mostly be learning about Landsat so that I know what I'm talking about on the presentation that I have to create at the end of the internship. We are presenting on the august 21st.

Another half day only working until 12. I mostly updated my twiki account and worked on finishing the arc view projects. Also we had a staff meeting at 10 in which I listened to two peoples presentations on different projects going on in the remote sensing department.

Today is another half day with me leaving at twelve. Im going to be spending most of my time updating my twiki account and doing stuff on arcview for nina

Today as well as the rest of the days this week are going to be fairly short. I have to leave early each day to go to a class I am taking through my schools summer enrichment program. So to make up for the time I am going to be coming in earlier and trying to get as much done with the arcview things nina is having me do before i have to leave.
